Students working in school have been taking part in an Art project with Mrs Roberts. The students wanted to express their thanks to NHS staff and Key Workers. They have been using their ICT skills to research a variety of designs of NHS street art and Thank You Key Worker signs. They had to investigate different artists who worked with mosaic such as Antoni Gaudi, Hudertwasser and Manchester artist Mark Kennedy and share their findings with each other.
After exploring designs on paper, the students offered feedback to each other and took a vote on their favourite. The winning design was to be created by the group as a team. Students cut up the backing board into sections so they could work independently on different sections and organised the mosaic pieces into different colour groups. They then started on the mosaic working on a section and colour at a time. The students have a done a fantastic job.
